General Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded directly by The JDL Foundation and JDL Foundation Canada and are for students within the United States and Canada. All scholarship recipients receive an industry mentor, a trip to ICSC LAS VEGAS for U.S. recipients or a Canadian-based event for Canadian recipients, and complimentary ICSC student membership.

Applications for the 2022-2023 academic year scholarships are now closed. Applications for the 2023-2024 academic year will open in January 2023.
Undergraduate Scholarships — United States

Eligibility criteria:

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Full-time sophomore, junior or senior enrolled at an accredited university in the fall of 2022
  • For sophomores and juniors, the award is renewable for an additional year provided renewal criteria are met
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated interest in learning more about the development and management of marketplaces and spaces where people shop, dine, work, play and gather

Benefits include:

  • $5,000 toward tuition, fees, books and supplies
  • All-expenses paid trip to ICSC Las Vegas, our signature 3-day event, or an JDL LOCAL event
